Opening Reception: Friday, December 12 from 6-9

located at the Gallery Project

A machine to capture living sculpture will be one of the featured displays.

Gallery Project presents Step Right Up!, a festive interactive exhibition of installations and backdrops, built so that gallery goers may enter each space and pose to be photographed. Visitors may purchase a 6- week photo pass to take unlimited pictures amidst the many imaginative installations and backdrops. Become an actor in a modern Western set or a reality TV show, interact with objects in mysterious places, become part of the Sistine Chapel ceiling, surround yourself in a life-sized Barbie cake, take a virtual bike ride around Ann Arbor, try on masks of famous people, visit the Acropolis and other idyllic places, leap onto a photo taking machine, and have your portrait become part of an artwork projected on the gallery wall. Roving photographers will also be available to take your photo if you wish. The opportunities are limitless at Step Right Up! , Gallery Project's 2008 Fundraiser Exhibition.

Participating artists include Megan Bremer, Tom Buckholz, Steve Coy, Toby Fey, Anthony Fontana, Sandy Fontana, Vince Frappier, Megan Heeres, Kristin Hermanson, Tim Ide, Lou Krueger, Steven Kuypers, Cara Levine, Jen Locke, Paul Marquardt, Vince Mountain, Julie Renfro, Rick Ruiner, Mike Sivak, Jack Summers and Cedric Tai.
