Landscape Painting Machine Video!

I've just completed this video to document the Landscape Painting Machine. I will soon be updating the portfolio with fresh images and a link to this video. The Russell Studio and a group of friends gave me the opportunity to shoot this properly. Check it out!

Russell Studio Updates

Over the last month I have been working to install my Landscape Painting Machine at the Russell Studio.  I have been wanting to show the machine with all the paintings since it first became operational back in 2009. The previous four paintings are on display.  A final painting to end this series will be created and documented with the others.
This is the first time that I have shown this piece in a clutter free space.  My hope is to come away with top rate video and photo documentation.  It is also the first time the full archive has been shown in one space with the machine.
Documentation will start July 21st. There will be an open studio on Thursday the 24th.

Charles McGee - United We Stand Commission

Scale model of the final piece.
This past spring I started working with Charles McGee to help him realize some of his large pieces.  The following are examples of some of the work that I have done over the last month for a new work he is calling United We Stand.

A blank canvas!

This is my new space at the Russell Industrial Center.
How it started.
After a little paint.
I will be utilizing this space to document some old work and exhibit some new pieces that I've struggled to find a venue for.  My work has often utilized the gallery environment to facilitate performance and this space will allow me complete freedom, without time restriction.  Contact me if you would like to see the work I'll be doing in person. I will also be looking for bodies when it comes time to photograph each piece. More to come!

The Steve Show at Corktown Studios!

Steve and I collaborated to put up an implied shelter structure for our show at Corktown Studios. This is our first large permanent public piece.
Inside the gallery there are proposals posted for this piece and future pieces. A detailed proposal worked out in Rhino really helps to make a quick installation. The entire piece was put together onsite in three days.

TechShop Celebrates Its First Year!

In the weeks leading up to TechShop's one year anniversary I was tasked with creating a Star Wars theme bike. The following is the result of nobody saying a life size X-Wing on a recumbent bike is a bad idea.
Andrea is an elite fighter pilot.
It may not have been the fastest bike in the race, but it did turn some heads.
