RESISTANCE IS FUTILE

I set up a bunch of cartoon inspired box traps for a show at Popp's Packing. Each trap is bated with my personal vices which include the tasty treats pictured here.

Fossil Fuel for Thought

For years I have been working through an idea to use a crusty Volkswagen engine as a relic of postwar America petroleum consumption. An exhibition entitled, Oil and Water held at Gallery Project in Ann Arbor was the perfect excuse to force me to finalize and build Fossil Fuel for Thought. The show runs through the end of June.
"Oil and water shape world events. Nations rise and fall depending on how these essential resources are acquired and used. Wars are fought over them. Their use and misuse, scarceness and over-abundance impact people and nations around the world." ~ Gallery Project

Wrought Iron Turntable Drawing

I found an interesting illustration of an old railway turntable. This is my first attempt to investigate it further using sharpie markers on butcher's paper. The drawing is 72" wide by 18" high. It will be on display April 9th at Northend Studios during their Works on Paper Show.

Wire Car Cruise

The idea was to build your dream wire car and cruise it along Woodward Ave. The event was coordinated by Chido Johnson. You can find more information here: WireCarCruise.com. This is my contribution. It's a replica of my first vehicle, a 1972 VW Type II Deluxe.
