Open Studio

All were welcome to this event at my Studio. Visitors were encouraged to try some home brewed Brown Ale and try their hand at sand casting aluminum. Steve McShane also did a steel inflation demo.

Ten Minutes Towards Enlightenment

I put the final touches on my piece for Franconia Sculpture Park the morning before I left. All that is left is to wait for the grass to grow.

Wardriving at Franconia Sculpture Park

This was the first step for my FSP piece. I had to determine how far out I can connect to the internet. I was surprised to find that I can connect to a standard household router from nearly a quarter mile away. When complete an internet information booth will be out in the field atop a man sized mountain. Below is the original proposal.

Franconia Fellowship

I am currently participating in the Franconia Sculpture Park Intern Artist Fellowship program. FSP is located in Minnesota an hour north of Minneapolis. The park selects twelve fellows a year to help conduct everyday activities and to contribute a piece which will be on display for at least a year. My ten week section will conclude mid June.

A2 MechShop Residency

For three weeks in March I was honored with the opportunity to create work at the MechShop in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I spent most of my time in awe of the collective's broad knowledge base. Through this I was able to create pieces for a future show at CAVE Gallery (details to be posted shortly). Here is small example of what the MechShop residency allowed me to accomplish.
